Lavender Fields Forever

In a sometimes hilly landscape, you will find fields as far as the eye can see around mid-June to mid-July. The flowering depends on the weather.

The Romans used to perfume their baths and clothes with lavender and put lavender bags in their cupboards to make love wishes. Implanted in France by the Phocaeans, it found its land of predilection in Provence thanks to the climate favoring its productivity. The culture is now well developed and we saw the appearance in the 20s of lavandin whose yield is higher and its production of essence up to ten times higher than that of traditional lavender
